Animals deserve protection from abuse and cruelty. Florida has strengthened its laws against animal cruelty, giving animals greater protection from abuse. A new law made it a felony for an adult to involve a child in serious acts of cruelty against animals, including animal fighting and sexual abuse involving animals.
